SEA ANGING REPORTS THIS WEEK: Southend Pier: The pier re-opened to anglers this week after being closed during the snow and while repairs to a burst hydrant were carried out.
Rivers Crouch and Roach: Sport has gone a bit flat which might be the result of fresh water from the melting snow draining into the rivers.
Thamesmead and Erith: Both venues are producing big flounders, a few larger whiting and still the occasional rockling.
Gravesend: Flounders, whiting, rockling and the occasional decent codling have been reported.
Dagenham: There are still a lot of decent flounders being landed.
Pakefield: Decent bags of sizeable codling were caught by anglers who braved the elements.
Orford Island: Codling up to 5lb have been landed.
Walton Pier: Codling of up to 3.5lb have been caught.
Holland on Sea: Laurence Chisnall, Robert Tuck and Richard Holgate all had four or more fish weighing between 2lb and 3.5lb.
Boats: Skippers of charter and private vessels are reporting thornback rays, codling, whiting and pouting.
