SNOOKER: DESPITE trailing by 79 points after four frames, Grays Cons made a comeback to beat Springhouse A in the Thurrock snooker league’s Jubilee Cup semi-final.

Last year’s Secretary Cup winner Steve Boston of Stanford Cons A beat Ross Palmer of Grays Cons for a place in the secretary semi-final Both Rileys Wanderers men Dennis Hindley and Mark Mason went through to the quarter finals of the snooker singles.

Aveley Ship team mates Richard Jackson and Gary Langrish battled it out against each other in the snooker singles third round with Jackson earning the victory.
