Ipswich Town manager Roy Keane has seemingly ruled out a move for Southend United’s top goalscorer Lee Barnard.

Keane was at Roots Hall last Friday to watch Barnard bag a late winner against MK Dons from the penalty spot.

But, despite Barnard having already scored 14 times this season, Keane — who claims Barnard is available for £250,000, believes he already has better players in his squad.

Barnard will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign if he fails to agree a new deal at Blues.
