BY COLIN MUNFORD AVELEY rounded off their pre-season campaign with an entertaining encounter against Enfield Town.

All the goals came in the second half, after a first half with little action, with the closest either side coming through Millers' Matt Johnson, who saw his long range shot come back off the post.

Another well worked move from the home side resulted in Tuohy feeding Piers Wixon and the striker’s acrobatic shot went straight into the hands of Town keeper Jason Holmes.

Much travelled striker Sammy Winston spurned Enfield’s best opportunity, firing over from close range when he looked destined to find the net.

The home side did take the lead after the break when Garry Skerritt headed in Ryan Oliva’s teasing cross from the right.

But the lead did not last long as Fabio Valenti equalised within four minutes, shooting into an empty net after beating the offside trap.

And it looked like the visitors would take the victory as Stuart Blackbourne rounded Jamie Lunan and slotted home with only six minutes remaining, but Sam Holloway’s late strike was spilt into the net by Town keeper Holmes to give the Millers a draw.
