Essex Kickboxing Academy boss Kerridge has plan for West Thurrock

KICKBOXING: West Turrock councillor Andrew Smith is supporting well known borough gym owner Steve Kerridge in his bid to expand the Essex Kickboxing Academy at the West Thurrock memorial ground.

The memorial ground, one of the few open spaces in the area, is a valued community resource, and Steve Kerridge encourages many of the young people who use the park to channel their energy into kickboxing training.

The Academy facilities are being used to almost capacity and Steve is seeming to attract even more young people off the street.

The academy caters for members of all ages from 4 - 60 yrs of age. Ladies self-defense classes are very popular and members can develop into championship fighters if they so desire. The club has a long history of developing local youngsters into world and national champions.
