East Thurrock United were beaten 2-0 at Torquay United as their pointless start to the season continued.

Ruairi Keating scored twice for the home team to win the match.

A chance came and went for Danilo Orsi-Dadomo midway through the half, with the American striking into the arms of the home goalkeeper.

And it was the hosts that were to get the first goal.

Keating broke through three minutes before the interval and slid the ball beyond Jack Giddens.

The second was to follow seven minutes after the interval, with the same man picking up a superb pass to head home.

And that was how it stayed.
