THE MATCH: EAST Thurrock United will be determined to dent Chelmsford City’s play-off tilt with victory at Rookery Hill tomorrow.

Rocks host the Clarets looking to build on some excellent recent form that has seen them win back-to-back away matches and triumph in three of their last five games.

That form has secured their place in the division for next season but Rod Stringer’s Chelmsford are targeting an extension to their campaign.

Three wins in succession has lifted the Clarets into fifth place ahead of kick-off and they will not want to relinquish that position come 5pm tomorrow.

THE INSIGHT: “Our game against Havant & Waterlooville was called off on Tuesday which was frustrating but it is what it is,” said boss John Coventry. “We are running out of time but we need to get the game played.

“Chelmsford have been in and around it all season. They are a good club with a good manager and it is going to be difficult for us.

“We were beaten in the Essex Senior Cup by Chelmsford earlier this season where we weren’t as competitive as I would have liked. I would like us to give a better account of ourselves tomorrow.

“We beat Truro last week and we want to win every game. I would rather play them than a team with nothing to play for.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Coventry has a full squad to choose from.
