l THE MATCH: East Thurrock United make their longest league trip of the season tomorrow as Truro City endeavour to bolster their promotion bid.

Rocks defeated Concord Rangers 4-1 last time out to all but secure their league safety, but they will not be resting on their laurels just yet.

Back-to-back postponements over Easter frustrated John Coventry’s team as they contemplate a busier than expected end-of-season.

Meanwhile, Truro are a team in form. Victories against three play-off rivals last month, the fifth-placed side are well placed to make the top seven come the end of term.

But Rocks will not roll over as they look to reach a half century of points for the season.

THE INSIGHT: “We are going there and back in a day which is a lot of travelling but it is what it is,” said Coventry. “You have to look at the costs but we head there in good spirits.

“We were comfortable winners there last season [6-0 victors] but they are a different proposition to last year. They have got a lot better and we saw that when they came to us earlier in the season and won 2-1.

“They are in the play-off positions for a reason and will want the points.

“The games we have left are against teams that are involved in something and that is good as the games will still have a lot riding on them.

“But I hope now the pressure is off us we can perform a bit better. I would like to think we haven’t finished yet and the 50 point mark or maybe 55 point target is still in sight.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Midfielder Ben Marlow is out for the season, all other players are fit.
