AN astonishing 40-over match saw Belhus tie with Locksbottom, with both closing on 191-8.

Belhus’ Roy Heffernan (56) and Billy Winter (57) put them in a commanding position but Locksbottom hit back well.

Needing six runs from the final over, bowler Aidan Mason shouldered the responsibility with the scores level with one delivery remaining.

But excellent fielding from Mike Randall, and Mason completed a run-out to jubilant scenes.

Belhus came within two wickets of clinching a SNEL Division One win against Woodford Wells but were forced to settle for a draw.
