Belhus and Horndon-on-the-Hill racked up two huge scores in a record-breaking National Village Cup match.
Belhus closed on 323-6 in their 40 overs in what was seemingly an unobtainable target for the opponents.
But Horndon surpassed the score in 36.2 overs for the loss of just two wickets.
Put into bat, Danny Joyce (64) and Joe Joyce (133) raced to 158 at 20 overs, with Steve Edwards picking up four wickets for Horndon.
Despite the huge task ahead Horndon’s openers Jack Walsh and Tom Stone got off to a flying start, taking the visitors to a quick fire 84 off 10 overs.
At 186-0, the impossible run chase was now on, with the partnership ending on 237, Walsh reaching 102.
Horndon skipper Jeff West helped put on 68 runs in seven overs before Stone departed for 138, after a stumping from Danny Joyce.
Martin Sayers bludgeoned a huge six to seal victory, with West unbeaten on 42.
Horndon travel to Great Waltham for the regional semi-finals.
