It has been an excellent season for St Clere’s Under-13s girls after they won the Essex County Girls League Division 2.

The girls were hugely impressive as they lifted the league title in emphatic fashion.

And a club spokesperson was full of praise for the team’s efforts.

“It has been a tremendous achievement from a team that only started playing together last year.

“The team also got to the semi-finals of the League Cup only to lose on penalties, which was the only game they lost all season.”

The team are looking to build up the squad for next season, when they move up to the 11-a-side format so require new players.
