AMDTUNING.COM enjoyed a point scoring start to the new Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season at Brands Hatch.

The West Thurrock team lined up with Ollie Jackson joined by series debutant Ant Whorton-Eales.

Jackson finished the first race in 22nd, but improved to finish 14th in race two. A top 12 finish looked likely in the final race but a shunt saw him slip down the standings to finish 16th.

“I’m ecstatic with the progress we have made across the weekend with the car,” said Jackson. “It was quite difficult to drive at the start of practice but we made a series of changes that really improved things.

“I head away from Brands Hatch confident that we have the Audi in a good place but that there is plenty more still to come.”

Whorton-Eales found it harder going but the debutant did secure independent points scores come the end of the weekend.

“We’ve ended the weekend with a car that is both quick and reliable, and that has shown it is more than capable of scoring points,” added team boss Shaun Hollamby.
