IT was a night of frustration for Aveley as they shared the points in a goalless 0-0 draw with Bury Town on Monday night.
The Millers were looking for all three points to maintain their outside chance of securing a top five berth, but they were unable to force the breakthrough to leave them six points off the pace (at the time of press).
Mason Bloomfield forced Neil O’Sullivan into an early save, although Ryan Jolland missed a great chance up the other end as he shot wide having rounded goalkeeper Lamar Johnson.
Kris Newby and Adalberto Pinto shot just off target as the pressure grew on the away goal, with Ross Gleed blasting over from eight yards early in the second-half.
Pinto then had an effort cleared off the line but the goal was not forthcoming much to the home fans’ frustration.
