GRAYS rugby talent Lee Woollard is celebrating after he won the Singapore Rugby Union Premiership.
Playing for Bucks Rugby Club, the former Grays School and Palmers’ College pupil, helped the Bucks beat the Wanderers 24-23 in the final game of the season leading to wild celebrations among the team and their supporters.
And Woollard, 32, who has also played for Greenwich University, Orpington, Sidcup and the England Deaf Team, said it was a great feeling to enjoy the success with his team-mates.
“I played 30 minutes and it was a great feeling to help the team win,” said Woollard, who was 31 when the match was played.
“We played in the National Stadium, in front of loads of fans and it was great day.
“It was certainly a moment I will never forget.”
