l RUNDOWN: East Thurrock have been testing themselves against the very best in the National League in recent weeks and have passed every test unbeaten so far.

Maidenhead, Ebbsfleet, Dartford and Hampton & Richmond Borough have failed to win at the FutureFuel Stadium this season, and John Coventry wants to add second-placed St Albans City to that list.

The Hertfordshire side have scored five goals in three of their last five league matches as well as keeping clean sheets in each of their last three league clashes.

Despite Rocks’ excellent form they will be looking to add more home wins to their tally. In their nine games at home, six have ended in draws although they haven’t lost on their own patch since the opening day of the season.

St Albans are the current top scorers in the division, with 42 in 17 matches, although East Thurrock have star striker Sam Higgins back fully fit which is a challenge St Albans have not yet faced this term.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Rocks boss John Coventry said: “We haven't lost to any of the top nine but this game will be different. They are a very good attacking side. Defensively I am not too sure as they spend so much time in the attacking areas. However, our defence is aware of the threats and I think it is about how well we do. We need to impose ourselves on them.

"It could be a good game game for the spectator.

"We have not won too many games but we are addressing that and I am very encouraged by that."

l TEAM NEWS: James Walker should be back, Teddy Nesbitt is now on dual-registration at Billericay. Frazer Shaw has departed.
