PLAY-OFF hopefuls Tilbury and AFC Hornchurch battled out a goalless draw at Chadfields.
Midway through the first half, Urchins striker Leon Mckenzie had a chance to put his side ahead, but sent his shot from 18 yards just over the crossbar.
Abs Thompson looked especially dangerous for the visitors, making numerous good runs during the half and sending in some very good crosses from the right, but none of his team-mates were able to get on the end of them.
Tilbury began to come more into the game as the half-time interval approached, with both Kurt Smith and Reece Hewitt getting in shots at goal although they failed to find the net .
Tilbury looked the stronger side after the break, and Lewis Jaggs was close with a long range effort on 49 minutes. Shortly afterwards, Tilbury were grateful to Conor Mead for effecting a goal line clearance that kept them on level terms.
The Dockers were enjoying more of the ball during this spell, but without seriously troubling Sam Mott in the Hornchurch goal.
And it was Tilbury goalkeeper Lee Butcher who needed to make two fine saves in as many minutes, to deny goals to Gary Cohen and Kenzer Lee.
The final few minutes of the game saw the visitors in control. Lee Butcher had to make another fine save to keep out McKenzie.
