AVELEY have appointed experienced non-league manager Terry Spillane as their new manager.
Spillane replaces Justin Gardner, who left the club last week citing 'personal reasons', and has already named his managerial team - with Tony Falkner, Darren George and Gaz Dauti making up the backroom staff.
Spillane is well-respected in local circles, having led Stansted to the Essex Senior League title, taking Redbridge to the second round of the FA Cup and helped take Maldon & Tiptree to the Ryman North play off final back in the 2012/13 season.
Last season he narrowly missed out on the play-offs with Thamesmead Town, and left the club back in April.
Spillane's first match in charge will be the Ryman North clash at Waltham Abbey on Tuesday evening.
