THURROCK Harriers athlete Theo Adesina triumphed at the ESAA national combined events at Exeter where he donned the Essex vest and brought home a silver medal.
Adesina closed with a whopping pentathlon final score of 3184 points, a personal best, moving him into second rank in the country and making him eligible for England selection.
However, Adesina’s highlight of the day was the high jump, where he gained a massive 7cm increase on his PB, jumping 1.85cm, which also ranks him second in the country for his age group.
The athlete gained a season’s best in the 800m with a time of 2.15.01s and placed second in the long jump with a jump of 6.42m, meaning he can represent England in Ireland.
Adesina was also part of the under-15 Junior Boys team who also became the national team Pentathlon champions, breaking the British all-time record by over 150 points.
