TWO Thurrock lads have helped a Gaelic football team win the Under-12 League and reach an Under-12 All Britain Championship final.
Henry Overy and Robert Healy were part of the McCurtains team that won the U12 final and reach the U12 final of the All Britain Championship.
And McCurtains Gaelic Football coach Martin Healy was full of praise for the talented duo and the rest of the squad.
“We had a particularly talented bunch of Essex youngsters at U12 level including Henry and Robert, a match for any team that age in Britain,” he said. “I am glad to say that we have other Thurrock players coming through at Under-8 and Under-10 level but we would love to have some more.
“Our season is short running from Easter to summer so we do not overlap with football and rugby.”
