Soham Town Rangers 1-4 Tilbury
From Julius Martin Lane
Ryman One North
TILBURY ended their season with a flourish as they walloped Soham Town Rangers 4-1.
The Dockers have endured a miserable couple of months but ended with a fine display at Soham with goals from Joe Nightingill, Francis Babalola, Tony Martin and Neil Richmond handing Gary Henty’s side the points.
The first half was a close affair as just one goal was scored. Nightingill got it on 24 minutes to hand the visitors the advantage, although it wasn’t until the final 20 minutes that the game really burst into life.
Substitute Babalola doubled the advantage before strikes from the impressive Martin, his 24th goal of term, and Richmond made the game safe.
Salim Relizani got a consolation but it was Tilbury that were celebrating their best league finish for four years.
Tilbury: Bogard, Mead, D Smith, Cook, Nightingill, Game, Aiken (Babalola), Carlile, Richmond, Martin (Stanley), K Smith
