A PURFLEET wrestling school is looking for increased participation as the sport continues to grow in popularity.
Dropkixx Wrestling Academy was opened by former British Heavyweight Champion Jon Ritchie in 2004, and is keen to expand its reach, with youngsters of any age and ability encouraged to join.
And owner Lucas Jackson encouraged those with pre-conceived notions about the sport to come along and try a session.
“Wrestling is suitable for all abilities, it keeps you fit and helps improve social skills as well,” said Jackson, 28. “It is family-friendly and I would encourage as many people as possible to give it a go.”
Anyone interested should contact Jackson at dropkixxwrestling@outlook.com.
The next event is held this Saturday, at Laindon’s Presidents community hall, in Hoover Drive, with a number of the club’s big names in action. For more information visit www.dropkixx.com.
