NON-LEAGUE: England C could soon be knocking on the door at Grays Athletic after three of their brightest, young talents were watched against Waltham Abbey on Saturday.
Strikers Dumebi Dumaka and Bradley Fortnam-Tomlinson and defender Luke Ifill were watched by the non-league international side’s coach Mick Payne as Blues beat Abbey 2-0 in the FA Trophy.
Fortnam-Tomlinson got on the scoresheet in that game and has scored in four of Grays’ last five matches while Dumaka returned on Saturday having spent a week on trial with Championship outfit Ipswich Town.
The striker is believed to be interesting nine clubs at this stage.
Right-back Ifill, who signed from Waltham Forest last year, has been hugely impressive in the opening three months of the season, scooping a number of man-of-the-match awards.
Nathan Ferguson spent last week on trial at Fleetwood Town, although he is now training with League One side Burton Albion.
Another player training with a professional club is centre-back Jay Leader.
Leader caught the eye of Leyton Orient manager Ian Hendon in Grays’ FA Cup defeat to Welling United and is training with them this week.
