Grays Athletic 1–0 Enfield Town
From Mill Field
Ryman Premier League
BRADLEY Fortnam-Tomlinson struck again to hand Grays Athletic a narrow victory over Enfield Town.
The in-form striker hit the only goal of the game after 16 minutes, and his third in three games, linking up well with fellow forward Dumebi Dumaka to breach the away side’s defence.
Grays had been in poor form in the run up to the encounter, although they had earned a much-needed win in their last league match.
And this win pulled them back into play-off contention.
The goal was a well-worked counter-attacking effort. Dumaka broke forward for the hosts in a central area with options either side.
He picked out Fortnam-Tomlinson, who was marauding down the right and he picked his spot superbly at the near post, in what was the game’s first shot on target.
The first-half passed without further incident and the second-half wasn’t much of a spectacle either.
And the second-half didn’t offer much either, as Grays took the points.
