Belhus star Joe scoops double award
CRICKET: Belhus batsman Joe Joyce has scooped a double honour after a terrific season in the Shepherd Neame Essex League.
Joyce, inset, starred for Belhus and has now picked up two individual league awards.
Out of more than 1,500 players in the league, Joyce was the fastest batsman to reach 500 runs, and the highest runscorer with a total of 1,138 runs, including five centuries.
Belhus finished third in division two, narrowly missing out on promotion, and finished runners-up in the Essex Sunday League premier division.
