THE PREVIEW: Rocks travel to Hampton & Richmond Borough, aiming to follow up their away win last time out at Brentwood Town.

Beaten 2-1 at Hampton last year, manager John Coventry will be wary of the threat they pose although will be confident of securing maximum points.

Hampton have taken one point from their opening two games, and were beaten in front of their own fans on Tuesday.

Rocks have not beaten Hampton at the Beveree Stadium before, and trail 4-2 in head-to-head meetings in recent seasons.

WHAT HE SAYS: Rocks manager John Coventry, said: “I am looking for a reaction from the players after Tuesday’s game. How we were leading at half-time I will never know. As good as we were in the first-half against Billericay (last Saturday) we were as bad in the first half against Brentwood.

“Higgo (Sam Higgins) and Kye (Ruel) were missing but we may have them back tomorrow. We need to put in a good show as the attitude towards game so far needs to improve. Hampton lost at home in midweek as well so they will be up for it, but I expect my players to show what they can do.”

TEAM NEWS: Sam Higgins and Kye Ruel, who missed Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Brentwood, are doubtful although Coventry is hopeful they will be fit. The rest of the squad is available.
