LIAM Nash netted his second goal of the season as Aveley secured three points against Heybridge Swifts.
The on-loan Billericay Town striker unleashed a fierce drive from 18 yards, which crashed off the underside of the bar and over the line.
The Millers started well and could have opened the scoring inside the early stages, as Junior Baker headed over the crossbar.
Heybridge were struggling to make an impression and could have fallen behind when Petrit Elbi saw an effort kept out.
But then Nash scored and when Alberto Pinto was dismissed the game was there for Aveley, and they saw out the match.
