LITTLE Thurrock Dynamos Under-11 girls returned home to Thurrock from the Festival of Football Finale in Warwick with the championship trophy.
Having earned the right to attend the finale after their success at the ESF event in Butlins Bognor Regis, Little Thurrock Dynamos topped their league but it wasn’t without close competition.
Portishead Town Panthers finished on the same amount of points as them but courtesy of a superior goal difference Little Thurrock Dynamos were crowned champions.
With more than 1,100 boys and girls teams participating every year, the ESF is the biggest youth football festival in the UK.
Gavin Holland, from Little Thurrock Dynamos, said: “Since we won the event in Butlins Bognor Regis, we’ve had our eyes on the finale and we’re delighted to come home with the trophy.
“I’m delighted that the kids were able to showcase their talent against the best of the best from across the country. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved and we’ll definitely be celebrating.”
