GRAYS Athletic's under-21 final first-leg at Maidstone United was called off last night after the two sets of players clashed.
The game at Mill Field was abandoned at half-time with Maidstone 2-0 up, as the two sides came together in the tunnel.
The The match referee made the decision to abandon the game to the surprise and confusion of both clubs and Ryman league officials who were in attendance at the game.
Grays refused to comment further.
The second leg was scheduled to be played on Saturday, although it is unclear when that game will now be played.
