TILBURY grabbed a last-gasp equaliser to ensure their season ended with a point, albeit confirming Barkingside’s relegation.

The Dockers twice trailed against Side in their final game of an up-and-down season.

And it was a familiar face that helped bring about the first goal. Ex-striker Lee Weemes grabbing the final touch and diverting the ball past Jack Giddens.

Gary Henty’s side were behind at the interval but they bounced back quickly after the break.

Emiel Aiken scored the goal that brought the Dockers level, although Barkingside – fighting for their lives – were not about to give up.

With an hour played they re-took the lead through Gregg Akpele and give them hope as they strived to avoid the drop.

But Tilbury had the last laugh, as Tony Martin popped up to level the match and leave Tilbury in 14th come the end of the campaign.
