Grays Athletic relegation strugglers Tonbridge Angels to win their sixth match in eight games and continue their play-off push.
Blues won 3-1 at Mil Field to move up to 10th and to within three points of fifth placed Enfield Town, who lost yesterday evening.
A brace from Dumebi Dumaka plus a Harry Agombar strike put Grays in charge at half-time before a late Billy Medlock reply for Angels.
Jordan Wilson was sent off for the hosts shortly before they netted their third of the night but they held out for the win with a stirling defensive display.
Blues visit basement club Bury Town this weekend.
