Dereham Town 4-1 Tilbury
From Aldiss Park
Ryman One North
NINE-man Tilbury were brought back to earth with a crash as their impressive recent form was ended by Dereham Town.
The Dockers had won six of their last eight matches, keeping seven clean sheets in the process, but were crushed 4-1 by promotion-chasing Dereham.
Gary Henty’s side were dealt the added blow of having two players sent-off, including goalkeeper Jack Giddens midway through the first-half.
Tilbury conceded their first goal in 463 minutes after 13 minutes to go behind, with Ross Bailey scoring the goal.
But that lead only lasted five minutes, when Tony Martin scored an equaliser.
Giddens was dismissed for an off the ball incident with more than an hour left to play but Tilbury managed to hold out until the 72nd minute, dspite having centre back Sam Pooley between the sticks.
Liam Wales scored the goal and 60 seconds later the same man scored again, with Brad Webb dismissed between the two strikes.
And Dereham added a fourth in added time, when Sam Borrer netted from the penalty spot to make it a thoroughly miserable night for the visitors.
