BELHUS were frustrated in their run chase by a 45 minute stoppage for rain which came just after the final 20 overs of the game had started.
Dan Norris had enjoyed another superb bowling spell earlier in the day. He bowled 26 consecutive overs in the Leigh innings – taking 6 for 90 in the process.
The ever reliable Joyce brothers gave the home side a fantastic start in reply to Leigh’s 219.
Danny was out for exactly 50 and Joe went on to a scorching 112.
The rain was the winner in the end however leaving Belhus hanging at 204 for 3.
