HARRY Cook's third goal of the season was not enough to see Tilbury escape defeat to Burnham Ramblers.
After an energetic win over Brighlingsea Regent on Saturday, Paul Vaughan's side had hoped to build on that away to Burnham on the Essex coast.
But Dockers were 1-0 down inside 18 minutes, when Lhevreux Mhenga found the net.
And seven minutes into the second half, Bertie Brayley had the home side 2-0 up - leaving Dockers with a mountain they were unable to climb.
They gave it a good crack, though, and with 11 minutes left, Cook struck to make it 2-1.
But that was the way the game ended.
It leaves Tilbury with a win and a loss after two Ryman Division One North games. They travel to Harlow Town on Saturday.
*You can follow live text commentary of that game on the Thurrock Gazette website from 2.45pm on Saturday.
