SPEEDWAY: Lakeside Hammers will take on the Kings at the Arena Essex Raceway on Friday 25 July, which means the first clash of the Speedway teams of Essex and Kent since the Sport returned south of the Dartford River Crossing at the Sittingbourne venue.
The Home side will race under their original name of the Arena Essex Hammers in the Select Challenge event, which will see Adam Ellis, Ben Morley and Jack Kingston in action for the home side with the Kings including their last season’s No.1 Steve Boxall in place of Morley.
The Vortex Hammers Promoter Jon Cook commented: "We are sending a team to Kent in August and with a gap in our Fixture List we felt this was a great time to run this meeting. It's sure to be a hard fought encounter and our thanks go to Len and everyone at the Kings for coming at short notice and for the use of Ben, who is a Kent regular and a Rye House asset."
The fixture replaces the planned Elite League match against Birmingham, which has been moved back to August 29th in view of the current uncertainty surrounding the Brummies.
