CRICKET: HORNDON again failed to paint a win on the board this week.
Horndon’s batting line up struggled on what looked a cracking pitch, Liam Hubbard being the only shining light. He posted 54.
Horndon were struggling at 120-7 but the tail enders added important runs, with Meraj (17), Walsh (29No) and Marson (39) gave the home team a life line by making it to 239.
Gidea Park got off to a great start with both Maynard (40) and Francis (39) taking advantage of the good batting conditions.
Although Horndons bowlers battled hard Gidea Park knocked off the total with five balls to spare, Sarvesh Damle top scoring with 69.
