ATHLETICS: FOUR Harriers took part in the Hatfield Broad Oak 10k on Monday.
In a field of over 1000 there were some good performances from Thurrock’s men. Adam Dowman returned a strong time of 37m56s, just seconds outside his PB.
And Mick Bumstead dipped under the 40 minute barrier again with 39m38s.
Grays based Martin Mack returned 41m30s – an encouraging indication that he is returning to his best form following injury.
Bernie Johnson had his best 10k for some time but was disappointed that he did not break the 44m barrier. He was just 13 seconds outside his target time.
