BILLERICAY captain Stewart Rutland wants his team to pick up from where they left off last weekend against Orsett CC tomorrow.
Rutland’s side will be looking for the weather to shine after their first match at the Toby Howe cricket ground was abandoned after a downpour.
However, they followed up that disappointment with a narrow win against West Essex last weekend and Rutland says his side is in confident mood.
“We did well last time out,” he said, “but we are not taking Orsett lightly as they came down last year and will be looking to bounce straight back.
“The wicket looks good and 800 runs were scored on this pitch only this week. It looks like a good pitch to score some points on.”
Rutland says Dan Harford will step in as wicketkeeper as Harry Childs is away.
