THURROCK Hockey Club’s Jack Petchey awards winners are still celebrating after receiving their awards.
One of the winners was Emma Grant who has progressed through the teams and is now playing 1st team hockey. She has also taken in the role of ladies club captain and is playing a key part in organising and improving the ladies section.
She also helped organise the summer league which enabled the new younger players to gain confidence.
Another award winner was Shannon Harvey who developed through the mini section and is now old enough to play in the ladies section. She helps with the catering and organising of the mini tournaments the club holds. Another award winner is Nickol Chapman, 18, who is now a first team member.
