HAYLEY McLean’s bid to achieve the Commonwealth Games qualifying time is heading in the right direction after she recorded her third fastest 400m hurdles time ever in Florida.
The 19-year-old from Stanford-le-Hope clocked 57.62s to win the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational in Gainesville.
Mclean, the reigning European Junior 400m hurdles champion, needs to get her time down to 57.0s to secure a B standard for the Commonwealth Games.
She is in Florida on a training camp.
