IN their opening match of the season Belhus first string got off to a winning start at Chingford. Although the home side chalked up a respectable total of 225, Belhus knocked off the required runs in 33 overs.
Most of the runs came from Joe Joyce (115) who scored the first century of the season. And he was backed up by Dan Norris (72 runs) to secure a seven-wicket victory.

BELHUS batted first in their home curtain-raiser at North Stifford and, on an excellent batting strip, posted a competitive total of 204 thanks to a cultured 91 from Wayne Read and 61 from Joe Joyce. Wickford fell short of their target as Belhus notched up their second win of the season by eight runs.
