Cyhcle pro shows class at Hilly 18
CYCLING: Basildon professional cyclist Russell Hampton recorded his first win of the season in the Maldon & District CC Hilly 18 time-trial.
Hampton completed the course in 42m 57s to win by 11 seconds.
In a unique move in cycling, Hampton is racing without a team this year and is instead sponsored by Chelmsford cycling shop Athlonsport and by donations from business and individuals on the fundraising website Crowdfunder.
