RYMAN PREMIER: GRAYS suffered a heavy home defeat against struggling Carshalton to bring a run of five straight wins to an end.

Andy Swallow’s side got off to the worst possible start, conceding after three minuts when a defensive slip saw the ball fall to Reece Hall. He squared to Kingsley Aikhionbare and he slotted the ball past the advancing George Kamurasi.

Ten minutes later it was 2-0. Billy Dunn broke from midfield before easing past Phil Anderson and smashing home his first of the club.

Danny Bunce had the ball in the net for Grays on the 30 minute mark but he was ruled offside and 10 minutes later it was 3-0. Bobby Price rode two challenges and finished with his left foot from 20 yards.

After the break Grays should have got one back when Leroy Griffiths had a close range effort cleared off the line. However the forward did score soon after, lashing home from outside the box. Carshalton made the points safe with 12 minutes to go when Price scored his second, subjecting Grays to their first defeat for almost a month.

Grays: Kamurasi, Pope, Flynn, Yala, Anderson, Bunce, Lalite, Cruickshank, Small, Griffiths, Carlos.
