SEA ANGLING: THERE have been plenty of fish caught in Thurrock and our region of the Thames, despite the bad weather and plenty of weed and debris.
Thamemead and Erith: Flounders only at these two venues.
Belvedere: Flounders, pinhead whiting and eels.
Purfleet: Flounders and eels.
Gravesend: Founders, pinhead whiting.
Cows patch (Gravesend): Better sized whiting.
Greenhithe: One or two bass plus the odd flounder and smelt.
Grays Wharf: Mostly pinhead whiting plus the occasional decent pinhead. No codling.
Stanford: Good bags of flounders. River crouch: Whiting, a few flounders and eels.
Southend Pier (when open): Whiting at the head, still herring about plus a few schoolies.
Southend beaches (weather permitting): Flounders and pinhead whiting.
Barge pier: Flounders, plus herring at night.
