KARATE: Yamaguchi Goju students have registered success at the National Kyu Grade Championships help at Ponds Ford, Sheffield. Fighters from south Essex dojos did well at the event which attracted a record entry of 900 entries.
And students of Shihan Mark Adams figured highly.
His dojo's results included Matt Rixson bagging bronze in kata, (beaten by the current European Champion) and Thurrock's Victoria Westcott who gave an excellent performance winning bronze kata and kumite.
But the Icing on the cake was Victoria Westcott, Danielle Ball and Sasha Edgeler winning team kata - making them English Champions.
