RUGBY: STANFORD’s second string took on Westcliff’s 4ths on a very wet pitch.

The mud was very thick and the match started with the big Westcliff pack looking good.

And within 15 minutes they took the lead with a drive over try that remained uncoverted. After the restart Stanford took the game to Westcliff.

But a mistake on Stanford’s 10m line saw a kick, run and points for Westcliff. The try was not converted. Stanford did their best but in the end the scoreline was 10-0 to Westcliff. Next week Stanford’s seconds take on East London in a much anticipated clash at The Rec.
