BOROUGH anglers have been tapping into both codling, whiting and flounders over the last week.
Standford le Hope: Flounders and whiting.
Grays Wharf and Tilbury World’s End: Whiting and the occasional codling are providing sport.
Dagenham Market: Flounders and eels.
Rainham: It is mostly pin whiting at Coldharbour Lane, plus the occasional flounder and eel.
Thamesmead: Eddie Sharp reports flounders and pin whiting being caught.
Erith: Flounders, whiting and the occasional bass and one wrass have been landed at Morrison’s Jetty.
Belvedere: Bass, flounders and smelt are making up catches.
Medway Industrial Estate: Lots of whiting, most of a good size, plus the occasional codling.
Gravesend: Graham, from Dolphin Angling, reports codling to 3.5lb, whiting and big flounders.
Greenhythe: Whiting, smelt and the occasional dab have been caught.
Southend Pier: Whiting and the odd bass, with the chance of a codling.
Southend beaches: Flounders, pin whiting or schoolies are providing sport.
River Crouch: Whiting, codling and bass have been landed.
River Roach: Lots of small eels are showing, along with the occasional flounder.
