FLEET scored a late winner through man of the match Simon King to win their fifth game in a row. The home side nearly scored after only two minutes when Ross Wall saw his header well saved by Jack Bradshaw in the Chatham goal. The first half saw very few chances other than that and the sides went in at half time goalless.

But things were different in the second period.

Thurrock started the second half well and Ross Wall went through the middle but failed to successfully lob Bradshaw. The keeper smothered well. The game seemed to be heading for a goalless draw when Fleet got their goal.

Loui Hazelwood’s corner was flicked on by Brad Warner and King headed home from close range.

The victory sees more points in the bag for Fleet. Mark Stimson’s outfit have won their last four matches an are flying high in the league.
