GOLF: ORSETT Ladies played their annual 13 hole Christmas Greensomes Competition for the “Sheila Triston Trophy” in memory of Orsett lady, Sheila Triston.
Twenty pairs of ladies set off from the first and seventh tees.
Following the competition, the Ladies enjoyed a Christmas lunch and Barry Triston, Sheila’s husband, always joins the ladies and then presents the trophy.
After lunch, lady captain Margaret Oliver, announced that two pairs of ladies had the same score of 24 points.
But on countback the 2013 Winners of the Triston Trophy were new members Tina Gregory and Sue Mason. Runners up – also on 24 points – were Christine Dobinson and Pauline Woolgrove.
