NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: IT’S ALL systems go for Paul Vaughan and Tilbury as they prepare for another tough season in the Ryman Division One North.

Last season, they finished tenth following a great start and decent run as the weather began to improve through March and April. They just lacked that edge which would have moved them into the play off places.

The season before, they came even closer to promotion, making the play offs, but losing in the semi-final.

With the new season a matter of weeks away, Dockers ultimate desire is to go one better.

“We're going to try and maintain our competitiveness and blend some new faces with the youngsters who did well for us last season,” Vaughan, the Tilbury boss said.

“Joe Nightinghill, Aaron Waters, James Marrable, Conor Mead have all agreed to stay on but Gary Henty and Emiel Aiken have moved on.”

Aiken has gone to money-bags Redbridge but one of Tilbury's key players and main source of goals is staying on.
