SWIMMING: The second weekend of the Essex ASA Age Group County Championships saw Thurrock nplaced sixth against the best clubs in the county.

Overall team scores (at the end of second weekend): 1st Romford 2,424; 2nd Chelmsford 1,408; 3rd Borough of Redbridge 1,329; 4th Colchester 1,055; 5th Basildon Phoenix 1,053; 6th Thurrock 786; 7th Borough of Waltham Forest 767; 8th Borough of Southend 746; 9th Braintree 608; 10 Killerwhales 559.
